What We Do
TrackVoter is a voting application that allows you to vote on your favorite songs from each year using playlists from your Spotify account. This service is free to use and supported by voluntary donations.
Information We Collect
From Spotify
- Your Spotify user ID and basic profile information
- Playlist data (track names, artists, album information, release dates)
- Album artwork URLs
- Information about who added tracks to collaborative playlists
Voting Data
- Your votes on tracks by year
- Timestamps of when votes were cast
- Year override preferences you set for tracks
How We Use Your Information
- To display playlist tracks and enable voting functionality
- To track and display voting results
- To prevent users from voting on tracks they contributed
- To provide year-based organization of music
Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.
- Voting results are visible to other users of the application
- We use MongoDB for data storage with industry-standard security
- We do not use your data for advertising or marketing
- We do not transfer data to other services except as necessary to operate the application
Your Rights and Control
- Disconnect: You can disconnect your Spotify account at any time by signing out
- Data Deletion: Contact us to request deletion of your voting data
- Access: You can see all your votes within the application
- Correction: You can change your votes at any time
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS)
- Secure authentication through Spotify OAuth
- Secure database storage with access controls
- Regular security updates and monitoring
Data Retention
We retain your voting data for as long as you use the service. When you disconnect your account or request data deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days.
